Klynea reinterprets the Roman kline, a reclining daybed traditionally used for rest and gathering. Its characteristic raised end is translated into a minimal structure of timber, metal and upholstered leather, transforming an ancient typology into a contemporary lounge chair.

Developed in two configurations, Klynea explores asymmetry and symmetry through the same construction principle. A continuous upholstered metal shell rests within a timber structure, while its exposed tubular edge traces the profile of the seat and reveals its construction.
