Entered into the collections of the Mobilier National – Senshi rug, Manufacture Pinton

During a project with Japanese artisans, I conceived the design of this rug. Inspired by the deep indigo hues and the art of Boro, it represents the abandoned kimono of a warrior, known in Japanese as Senshi. It can be placed on the floor or hung on the wall. Made of wool and dyed with natural indigo pigments, it is crafted in France by the Pinton manufactory, masters of a centuries-old tradition in the purest Aubusson carpet and tapestry art. The rug was exhibited in 2023 at Milan Design Week, then in Paris and Berlin. In 2025, a larger version was acquired by the Mobilier National.
